About Rosvokomppania: Swedish-Speaking Finnish Reservists in Nijmegen

We are a group of Swedish-speaking Finnish reservists who share a deep passion for walking the Nijmegen Marches. Many of us have come together by chance, but what unites us in Rosvokomppania is an active engagement in defense matters alongside our full-time civilian jobs. Our driving force is to test our physical and mental limits, maintain marching capability, and strengthen military camaraderie over the four days.

Our Journey with the Marches

Our group has participated in the Nijmegen Marches since 2018, the year Finland first participated with its own official delegation—a tradition we are proud to continue. Since then, it has continued year after year, with new lessons learned every time. In addition to Nijmegen, we also participate in similar events here in Finland, such as the Kesäyön Marssit (Midsummer Night Marches).

Our Goal: Sharing Experience and Inspiring

Our primary goal with this platform is to encourage more Swedish-speaking Finns to participate in Nijmegen and to share the unique knowledge we have accumulated over all these years. Whether you are looking for advice on training, equipment optimization, or smart travel planning—we are here to help you on your way to Nijmegen.

Military Focus Only – What it Means

Please Note: We participate exclusively in the military category and stay at Kamp Heumensoord. Therefore, we have no experience with how the civilian category works or what considerations apply there. All information we provide is thus specifically tailored for reservists, military personnel, and voluntary defense organizations participating in the military delegation.
